The Constant Gardener

If The Constant Gardener doesn't get nominated for some awards this coming season, I don't know what should. Directed by Fernando Meirelles and starring Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz, the movie is an intriguing thrill ride from start to finish with some love and romance added in for good measure. The acting is great, the visuals striking and the subject matter is both fascinating and frightening because of how it seems as though it could actually be happening. I am a bit jealous that Rachel Weisz is dating director Darren Aronofsky (Requiem For A Dream, The Fountain) who is the brooding, intellectual, geeky hot and incredibly talented type I love, but she is such a gifted actress that I will forgive her.
