My Love For Ponyboy Curtis Still Strong After All These Years

All I can do is reiterate, I was the one to spot this 80's trend first. A special 2 disk edition DVD of the movie The Outsiders is coming out this month. I must admit that I loved this movie. When you put Tom Cruise, Matt Dillon, Emilio Estevez, C. Thomas Howell, Rob Lowe, Ralph Macchio, Patrick Swayze and all in one movie there isn't going to be a ton of complaining from most women I know and Diane Lane was there for the guys. I loved C. Thomas Howell (who played the lead Ponyboy Curtis) the most. A bunch of Rob Lowe's scenes were cut out of the original, but they are restored in this version. Didn't really seem to hurt his career. Most of the actors in this movie, in fact, are still working in entertainment in some capacity. If you want to read where some of them are now, click here. The movie is based on a S.E. Hinton novel and I swear I just realized that the writer is a women this week. It is embarrassing to admit, as I usually know such things, but that is what this blog is for at least some of the time -- I make fun of myself and you get to laugh with me or at me, depending on your perspective.
