Show Me The 25 Best Sports Movies Of All Time
I'm not sure if I agree that this is the definitive list of the best sports movies ever. A League of Their Own and the original Bad News Bears both made the list and I do think they both belong there. Jerry Maguire is also included and while I guess it counts as a sports movie, I do feel that film has always been kind of overrated (even though I do like it). Alright, so this is a somewhat old blog entry, but I had to comment on this top-25 sports movies list. First, how about Steve McQueen's swan song, "Le Mans," about the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the world's greatest auto race? I mean, auto racing is a sport, right? At least "Days of Thunder" didn't make it. And why no mention of "Breaking Away?" It only won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and nominated for 4 others. There, I feel better.
